PeopleTeam is where you book time off, keep your details up to date, follow your goals and find company policies. This guide takes you through your first few minutes.
Sign in for the first time
- Open the invite email from your organisation and click Accept invite.
- Choose a password. Use at least 12 characters and don’t reuse a password from another site.
- You’ll land on the Welcome steps. Check your personal details, add an emergency contact and upload a photo if you like.
Set up two-step sign-in
After your password, you are asked to set up an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password). Scan the QR code, then type the six-digit code it shows. From then on you enter a code each time you sign in. If you lose your phone, ask an admin to reset it and you will set up a new one.
Find your way around
- Home shows what needs you today, upcoming birthdays, anniversaries and new starters, and who’s away. See Birthdays, anniversaries and new starters.
- Managers, HR and admins also see summary tiles on Home: Time-off requests waiting for approval and Missing details for people who need follow-up. See Find and fix missing details.
- The sidebar only lists the areas your role can use. If you can’t see something a colleague mentions, it’s probably for a different role. Recruitment appears for HR, recruitment admins, managers who can raise vacancies, and anyone on a hiring team. See Create and manage vacancies.
- If you belong to more than one organisation, pick the one you’re working in from the switcher at the top of the sidebar. See Your organisation, branding and switching organisations.
- Your account menu (bottom left) has My profile, Take the tour, Help centre and Sign out.
Take the tour again
Open the account menu and choose Take the tour. It uses demo data, so you can try things without changing anything real. See Replay the product tour.
Get help
Use the search box at the top of the Help centre. You’ll only see guides for the roles you have.
Depends on your plan
Some menu items depend on your organisation's plan. If you can't see Performance, Reports, Payroll or Recruitment, your plan may not include them. Going to one of those pages directly shows "That isn't included in your organisation's plan."
