The Organisation area
Everything about your organisation now lives in one place: Organisation in the sidebar. It has six tabs:
| Tab | What it holds | Who can open it |
|---|---|---|
| Details | Legal and trading name, ABN, address, contact details and locations | HR, administrators and payroll/finance access (read-only) |
| Departments & Teams | Your departments and teams | HR and administrators |
| Branding & Communications | Logo and brand colours | Administrators |
| Policies & Documents | Organisation policies and documents | HR and administrators |
| Settings | Document review cycle, super and leave defaults, idle sign-out, AI assistance | HR and administrators |
| Billing | Your plan, seats, invoices and payment details. See Billing, seats and invoices | Administrators |
Only administrators can change organisation details. HR can add and edit locations. Accountants can read Details so they can check the ABN and address, but can't change anything.
The old Administration → Organisation page now takes you here.
Branding
Upload your logo and choose up to four brand colours (as hex codes, such as #1F6F5C). Your logo shows in the sidebar for everyone in the organisation, including accountants. Logos are stored privately and only people in your organisation can see them.
Working in more than one organisation
If you belong to more than one organisation, use the organisation switcher at the top of the sidebar to choose which one you're working in. Everything you see — people, leave, payroll, logo and settings — belongs to the organisation you've selected. Nothing from another organisation shows until you switch to it.
Your organisation's web address
An admin can give the organisation its own address, such as acme.peopleteam.app, in Organisation → Details → Web address. It's optional: peopleteam.app keeps working for everyone.
- Use 3–30 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Some names, like
wwworadmin, are reserved. - Opening your organisation's address takes you straight into that organisation. You stay signed in when you move between addresses.
- People who aren't members of the organisation can't see anything there, even if they know the address.
- Changing the address breaks bookmarks and links that use the old one, so tell your people first.
Super and leave defaults
Under Organisation → Settings, set the super rate your organisation pays and the default annual leave and personal/carer's leave entitlements. Offers and agreements fill from these.
- Each field shows the current statutory minimum beside it. You can enter a higher figure, but PeopleTeam won't save one that's lower.
- A role can offer more than your default, for example 25 days of annual leave, but never less than the statutory minimum.
- After someone starts, Xero is the source of truth for their super rate.
Idle sign-out
Under Organisation → Settings → Sign out when idle, choose how long someone can be inactive before they're signed out. Your plan sets the longest limit allowed. You can pick a shorter one, and everyone sees a warning before they're signed out.
AI assistance
Under Organisation → Settings → AI assistance, admins choose whether PeopleTeam can use AI. Both options start switched off, and every feature still works by hand.
- Drafting help adds a "Draft with AI" panel to the job advert and job description editors. It drafts wording only from what your team types, and never includes candidate information.
- Candidate information will let reviewers request CV summaries and evidence against criteria. Before you can turn it on you must pick the approved provider and record your processing arrangement, for example which privacy notice tells candidates about it.
AI never saves anything or makes a decision. Each draft sits beside the current text, and nothing changes until someone chooses Use draft and then saves. The card shows how many AI requests your organisation has used this month against its allowance. Failed requests don't count.
For the full detail, including what to check before turning on candidate AI and what is recorded, see Turn on and manage AI assistance.
Recruitment and overview capabilities
Administrators can give people extra responsibilities in Administration → Members without changing their role: Recruitment admin, Hiring manager, Interviewer, Offer approver and Management overview. These never grant HR access — for example, an interviewer stays an employee and only sees what they need for their interviews. External accountants can't hold these capabilities.
