Onboarding and offboarding

Use shared checklists so HR, IT, managers and the employee all know what to do.

How checklists work

Each checklist has tasks, and each task has an owner: HR, IT, the manager or the employee. Owners see their tasks on Home and get a reminder when one is due.

Start a checklist

  1. Go to Onboarding and click Start checklist.
  2. Choose the person and a template, for example New starter or Leaver.
  3. Check the due dates. They’re worked out from the start or finish date.
  4. Click Start.

Track progress

The Onboarding page shows everyone in progress, with a progress bar and any overdue tasks. Tick tasks off as they’re done.

Offboarding

Start a Leaver checklist when someone resigns. It covers returning equipment, removing access, final pay and the exit conversation. Setting a finish date also tells payroll.
